MR16 Spotlights and GU10’s are a feature of many modern business’s, from downlighting applications to uplighting and display cabinets. Power Halogen MR16’s are the more commonly used type. These generate a large amount of heat which not only leads to shorter lamp life but plces further load on air conditioning systems. 12v Halogen Lamps and utilise an inverter instead of a transformer to power the lamp.

CCFL’s consume 80% less power, lasts at least 10 times longer and save on maintenance costs.

Cold Cathode Flourescent Lights (CCFLs) have many desirable features, including: •

  • High efficiency (electrical power in to light out)
  • Long life (> 25K hours)
  • Stable and predictable operation
  • Brightness can be easily varied
  • Light weight
